TWO Different Boat Trips Everyday

❶ Daily trip to the famous Mnemba Atoll marine park. We visit two different spots, typically Small Wall, Kichuani, or Aquarium. The boat departs at 08:30, returning around 14:30.

❷ Daily trip to the best dive sites in North Zanzibar. Each day we visit two different spots. The locations and times are decided 1-2 days earlier. The boat departs between 08:30-10:00, returning around 13:00-14:30.

❸ Additionally, we offer a Magical Night Dive off the beach, on our home reef, on most nights.

How does a typical dive day look like?

  • Please plan to arrive a day early for registration and gear fitting.
  • The next morning, we load your equipments onboard before your arrival.
  • Enjoy coffee/tea and local donuts as we gather for the trip briefing before boarding the boat.
  • Our boats departs directly in-front of our reception.
  • Most destinations are 30 to 40-minute boat ride away.
  • During surface intervals, you can enjoy snacks & fresh fruits onboard.
  • Upon returning, we off-load your gear and prepare it for the next day.
  • Relax in our welcoming reception area. Log your dives, browse our fish ID books, or simply enjoy complimentary coffee and Wi-Fi with other divers.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

While diving is good all year-round, conditions vary by season:

  • Mid February-April: Best months with calm seas, and visibility up to 30 meters.
  • May: Lots of rain, Calm seas, good visibility, and fewer divers.
  • October-Mid December: Great conditions with calm seas, and excellent visibility.
  • June-September: Good conditions. Southern winds may cause occasional choppy conditions, but most dive sites remain accessible.
  • Mid December-Mid February: Not Ideal due to the Kazkazi (Northern wind) season, resulting in choppy seas and reduced visibility on some days.

  • November to May: Water temperature ranges from 28°C to 29°C.
    We suggest a 3mm wetsuit.
  • June to October: Water temperature decreases to 24°C to 25°C.
    We recommend a 5mm full wetsuit.

  • At the end of each day, we arrange the next days’ dive groups, aiming to match divers with similar experience levels.
  • Our groups typically consist of 4 divers per guide, with a maximum of 6.
  • For courses, we maintain an average of 2 students per instructor, with a maximum of 4.
  • Our spacious boats can accommodate 12 & 16 divers.

  • We offer a FREE refresher course daily at 15:30, conducted off the beach in front of our reception, lasting approximately 1 hour. This offering is free to encourage participation from all divers needing to refresh their skills.
  • Taking the refresher course boosts confidence and addresses any minor concerns, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience the next day.
  • Depending on your experience level:
    — If you haven’t dived in a while, we may recommend taking the course.
    — If it has been over a year, we may require you to take the course.
    — If it has been several years, we may also mandate an open water dive off the beach before joining our boat dives, priced at $60.

If you stay in any hotel in Nungwi or Kendwa that is too far to walk, we offer a FREE transfer to get you here and back. We do not provide transport from other parts of the Island.
